For all those looking, considering, and thinking about moving to Amsterdam. [.. snip ..] If you're an American, its not worth giving up your citizenship. Its better to live there and leave and re-enter every six months to satisfy Dutch Immigration. Of course you have to support yourself somehow. EU citizens have a much easier time but there is not a huge demand for non-dutch speaking people. It doesn't matter how well you speak english. To integrate smoothly you must know the local language, as anywhere. Good Luck all...
